Laion shows its colours
The days are getting milder. The harbingers of spring are stretching their heads out of the earth and gradually transforming Laion’s meadows into a sea of colour. The village blooms with white and pink apple blossom. Behind it, the Dolomites peaks emerge covered in snow and the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel continues to turn until April.
Hiking fun in the low mountain ranges
In the spring, the most beautiful hiking trails are not on the valley floor or at the summit, but along the low mountain region of Laion instead. They lead you unhurriedly through blossoming nature, providing beautiful views down to the valley and up over the Dolomites, still covered in snow.
Stop for a bite to eat in rustic alpine huts
The Laion alpine huts are well known for their warm hospitality, wonderful panoramas of the Dolomites and traditional dishes made from homemade products. They offer cosy parlours, sun terraces and are ideal for families with children.
Cycle through the sea of flowers
Experience the spring awakening up close on your bike in the low mountain range region. Cycle paths snake through the valley floor, past palaces and castles, through vineyards and colourful orchards. You can hire your mountain bike or e-bike near Laion.
