Laion refreshes
Laion has a long tradition as a summer resort. Blossoming meadows, fragrant woods, almost 13 hours a day of sunshine, fresh air and a view of the Dolomite peaks of Sella, Sasso Lungo and Sciliar together form the perfect ingredients to help you relax and recharge the batteries. You can also witness the farmers as they go about their work making hay nearby.
Hiking through and through
In the summer there's a tour to suit everyone. Hiking trails snake through the valleys past castles and palaces and through vineyards, forests and orchards. Further up the mountains, sunny alpine pastures, steep rocky tracks, crystal-clear mountain lakes and Dolomite peaks await.
Out and about together
Three times a week from mid-June to mid-September, guide Helmuth takes hiking enthusiasts to the most beautiful destinations in Laion and the surrounding Dolomite valleys. The hiking programme covers all levels of difficulty from easy and moderately difficult to the more demanding tours.
Stop for a bite to eat in the rustic alpine huts
Take a break during your hike or bike tour in the many inviting Alpine and mountain chalets in Laion, on neighbouring Alpe di Siusi and in Val Gardena. They are famous for their warm hospitality, traditional dishes and wonderful panoramas of the Dolomites.
New family experience trail
The new experience trail in Laion takes both young and old back into the past. Along the trail, families can experience an exciting journey through time, from the Stone Age to ancient Rome to the Middle Ages through to the present day with customised stations and play areas.
