In the footsteps of the minstrels: Guided hike with visit of the Castel Forte

With our hiking guide Helmuth we start at the village square in Laion and hike over the Walther from the Vogelweide trail towards Novale. We visit some stations about its history and make a short detour to the birthplace of the famous Minnesinger. Arriving at the Castle Forte, we visit the former home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, one of the most impressive castle complexes in South Tyrol. At the end of the tour we walk down towards Ponte Gardena until Laion/Ried for a stop at the Törggelehof and from there take the public bus to Laion.
